Almond Tree (PRUNUS dulcis)
Varieties:
- All-In-One Almond: Heavy producer of medium to large, soft shelled, sweet, good quality kernels. Can grow to 15 ft. tall and 12 ft. wide. Best variety of almond for home use. Ripens in Late September to Early October. (500 Chilling Hours)
- Halls Hardy Almond: Showy pink blooms and dense foliage. Large nuts with hard shells and bittersweet kernels. Begins production often in the third year & bears a large crop of almonds at maturity. Nuts mature in September. (800 Chilling Hours)
